Pequeños Héroes

Characters & Creatures
David, the blond boy hero, standing front-on in a brown tunic and belt against a dark backdrop.
Character models built in 2014 for Pequeños Héroes, an animated series for children released on YouTube. I made the main characters and several environments, then lit and rendered the first episode — the project where I learned this whole workflow end to end.
David waving, one arm raised and legs apart in a lively pose.
David crouched with both fists up, wearing a hood with ears.
Turnaround sheet for David: five views of the character from front to back, labelled with the series logo.
David, the lead. A full turnaround, which is what the animation team works from.
Expression sheet for David: five poses running from laughing to shouting to waving.
Eliab, the heavier dark-haired character, standing front-on with a flat expression.
Eliab, the second of the three leads.
Eliab with both arms raised and mouth open, in a startled pose.
Eliab with one fist raised and eyes closed, mid-cheer.
Samuel, a round old man with a long white beard and a blue cape, seen from the front.
Samuel, the elder. Built almost entirely from soft rounded volumes so he reads instantly at small sizes.
Samuel from behind and in profile, the cape trailing along the floor.
Two three-quarter views of Samuel, showing the cape from both sides.
Samuel holding a tablet in a library, a smiling yellow book character beside him.
Frames from the first episode, which I also lit and rendered.
Samuel on a purple film set with a studio light, clapperboard and camera.
David standing on a theatre stage framed by yellow curtains.
David in a green field with sheep and a hay bale under a blue sky.
A moustached character in an orange tunic standing between two wooden fences in a field.
